Lana Kinaia is a seasoned operations leader and customer experience specialist with a career spanning over 15 years. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Lana began her professional journey in the payments industry in 2014, where she quickly distinguished herself through her ability to build and scale a high-performing customer service team. Her expertise in executive support and operational efficiency positioned her as a trusted partner to senior leadership, playing a critical role in organizational growth and internal alignment. Driven by a passion for creativity and community engagement, Lana opened Michigan’s first Friendship Factory franchise location in 2022, which she continues to operate today. The Friendship Factory is a vibrant party and retail space designed to inspire confidence, kindness, and connection in kids. Through hands-on activities, crafting, and imaginative experiences, the Friendship Factory creates unforgettable moments where children can shine, make memories, and build meaningful friendships—all while having a blast. In 2025, Lana joined KMI Family Ventures as a key member of the operations team. Claudia Shah is a purpose-driven leader with a background in client relationship management, entrepreneurship, and strategic philanthropy. In 2009, she founded Fortis Employee Solutions to help businesses build stronger, more people-centered workplaces, and led the company through a successful period of growth before transitioning out to focus on more mission-driven work.
From 2003 to 2009, Claudia served as Director of Client Relationships, managing key accounts and developing client partnerships across Michigan and New York. She attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor before beginning her professional career.
After becoming a mother of three, Claudia found renewed purpose in philanthropy—sparked by her personal experiences and involvement with the Mayo Clinic and the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Today, she leads philanthropic initiatives that prioritize family health, education, and long-term community impact.
